Meubles Perez specializes in the design and manufacture of distinctive, high-end furniture with European influences, incorporating innovation, a balance between modernity and classicism, and custom tailoring—all made possible by the expertise of the artisans working at the company’s facilities in Montreal. For over 20 years, Meubles Perez has served residential and commercial clients who value design and excellent value for money.
As part of its growth, Meubles Perez is seeking an R&D Draftsman/Designer to support its production, product development, and manufacturing optimization efforts.
Your role
- Serve as the technical liaison between the sales and production teams
- Participate in the launch of new products
- Contribute to the standardization and improvement of existing components
- Design and model parts and assemblies (SolidWorks)
- Produce the technical drawings required for manufacturing
- Collaborate with the R&D team on the development of new products
- Manage and organize technical documentation
- Document prototyping and manufacturing processes
- Participate in the continuous improvement of work methods and tools
Profile sought
Requirements:
- DEC or AEC in industrial design, technical drafting, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Knowledge of SketchUp (a plus)
- Experience in manufacturing (wood, fabrics, sewing) (a plus)
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
