Technical Drafter

We’re looking for a skilled, proactive individual to fill a technical draftsperson/designer position on our technical and R&D teams.
Your Role
- Support the product development team, and act as a link between design and
- In collaboration with the Research & Development team, design innovative
- solutions for furniture manufacturing.
- Design parts and prepare production drawings.
- In collaboration with the production team, develop production tools such as
- such as welding jigs and other tools for implementing new products in the plant.

- Manage the organization of technical drawings, production plans and computerized
- Be responsible for putting prototypes into production and ensuring their conformity.
- Document the prototyping and manufacturing process with photos and videos.
- Participate in ISO 9001 and 14001 activities, and implement processes to ensure
- quality of products and manufacturing techniques.
- Design 3D production drawings that reflect the current design and manufacturing
- of existing furniture.
- Make modifications to 3D drawings for special product design for production.
- Collaborate in the improvement of tools and work methods.
Profile Sought
Requirements:
- College training in industrial design / industrial drafting / mechanical engineering or other related field AEC / DEC
- CAD design in 3D and 2D
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite
- Asset: Knowledge of Solidworks
- Asset: Experience in industrial production
- Asset: Experience with metal, wood, fabric and sewing fabrication
- Able to travel between the two plants (Saint-Léonard and Saint-Hubert, South Shore).
